Adding Songs to the Songbook

How this works

The songbook is composed of videos downloaded from YouTube. To add songs to the songbook you need to find a karaoke version of that song, add it to a playlist, and send the playlist to me. Important: this MUST be done ahead of time, I will not add songs on the fly. (Cutoff time TBD)

How to add songs

  1. Check the Songbook for the song you want. If it's already in the songbook you don't need to do anything else. If you care strongly about having a certain version of a song, contact me and I'll let you know what version I have. I'm fine with adding an additional version if you don't like the one I have
  2. Search YouTube for "[artist] [song] karaoke"
  3. Go through the results and find a good version. See below for how to find a good karaoke version
  4. Save the song to a playlist. Detailed instructions for how to create and add songs to a playlist below
  5. Send me the URL of the playlist
  6. You can continue adding songs to the playlist until the cutoff time, I will add all of them to the songbook until then
  7. For future events you can continue to use the same playlist, you won't need to send me the URL again. Once a song has been added to the Songbook you can either remove it from the playlist or leave it in
